Parts & Labor
01:29
|
|||
There’s a dilapidated house at the end of the street
The windows are all gone
and the ceiling meets the floor
The summation of a life of failures one after the next
Somewhere children cry themselves to sleep
The lights are all out but there’s someone living there
The back door’s torn off the hinges
And there’s blankets in the corner
Someone should have torn this shithole down long ago
Because there’s crackhead squatters living there
And she takes another hit and remembers how she played here as a child
Somewhere Inside a loaded mother cry’s herself to sleep
How did things get like this?
It started not that long ago
When the ends no longer meet
And the mask begins to slip
And all concern begins to shift out of control
Just trying to get back to how things were before
and you thought you knew the hard times then
Every day sinking lower
Hostage to your compulsion
As more goes out the fucking door
Sorry is a cheap deal but the only one you’re going to get because regardless how the job turns out there’s always a debt to be paid

Peter & Paul
00:32
|
|||
I payed Paul because he had a knife
But I robbed Peter and he has a gun
A slick black Colt, as long as a casket
I’m digging my grave with a shovel made of credit
And paying and praying that someone is watching over me
Who has an automatic
Kill Peter, Rob Paul
But who will pay?

Porkchop
01:52
|
|||
Calling in dead end, no return, missed the last train home
Maybe I’ll get killed on the job and it won’t look like a suicide
You can always dream right?
Bottle of anything please and thank you
Drunk in the rain, forget the day
8AM hot n’ heavy
Prey for the day
The pork chop in the shark tank
Pray for the day to be better than death
Permanent vacation skull session
Ooh baby, looking good
Dream of a coma
I’m your bottom dollar, I’m your punchline
I’m your pork-chop
Gobble gobble
Point and laugh

Mancage
01:06
|

There’s nothing like a fresh razor
Put a shine on the morning
Carve me up a promotion
To upper management
Life in solitary confinement
Either way, one and the same
Stuck in a cage, bitter with age
Slashing a path to adventure
This is what it sounds like when buds cry
I’ll kill the boss tomorrow
Y’all gonna make me famous

And The Clock...
01:25
|
|||
Smash the last hour, crunch time
Smash the last 15 minutes, deadlines
Smash your face in
Set me up with a premium package
A multiple homicide with option to renew....
work me ragged
Yeah do me dirty
Rode hard and hung up wet
Living with regret... of the last 15 minutes of the last 15 days
Of the last 15 years... last 40 years
Living in fear... coming up short
And the clock hammers on

Humanity
02:42
|
|||
Humanity cannot wait
We’ve seen this play before
Standing by while the blind mob cries for blood and vengeance forth
How can we be so quick to cast the flame unto the pyre?
It’s easier to hate than to find pity in the mire
Compassion’s hard to come by when you’re living hand to mouth
Compassion’s hard to come by inside the castle looking out
So cold and miserable like the last nickel in the can
Have you no empathy for your fallen fellow man?
Remember me?
I used to be your neighbor
Then the troubles came along
There’s no water in the well
There’s no food upon the table
And it’s you who points the finger
And you who casts the stone
And you who holds the power to throw others to the wolves
Do you know how it feels to be upon the whipping post?
Have you had your voice silenced when you needed it most?
Open your eyes
It’s not some propaganda
It’s the rapidly growing vogue
Remember me?
I used to be your neighbor
Do you sleep with your conscience tucked away beneath your tone deaf, thoughtless, righteous, heartless bed?
Humanity came too late
Only after seeing the mass graves
Do we realize that we’ve challenged fate
United we stand if you’re a proud white man
And it’s shit out of luck for those not in the club
Humanity comes like any trend
It’s departed before, it will again
And so we’ve become
Divided again
And the ghettos keep growing
And the pressure keeps growing
We live without seeing
And the struggle keeps growing
We live without feeling
And the scars keep on growing
Enjoying what liberty has offered
In the tent kingdom along the freeway
Four found dead from exposure
It made the nightly news
Then it’s back to the scheduled program
Because nobody cares
Nobody cares
